Happy 1st Birthday Madeleine!

On Tuesday, Madeleine turned 1! Yay! Where does the time go??? It feels like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital. Now, she is walking, understanding tons of words, and eating real food. She is an absolute joy and we are so lucky to have such a smart, happy, healthy, fun and easy-going baby girl.

M also had her 1-year well-visit at her pediatrician on Wednesday. M is still in the 25% but is growing on the curve so that's good. Just a little peanut!

We had planned on going to MD for her birthday but our plans changed so we just had a little celebration here. Here are some pics:

Madeleine's First Christmas

We had a wonderful holiday. My parents came early to celebrate with us since we had to leave for Canada on the 20th. I was sick with an upper respiratory infection so I wasn't much fun but everyone got to play with M and let's face it, she's more fun anyway. Mommom is so good with M and it is so much fun to watch them together.

We had a great time in Canada. It was FREEZING so we didn't get to do as many activities as we had hoped but we still had fun. We went shopping, Cam & I went to a movie, M went sledding, and we got to visit with most of Cam's family and friends. It was a great visit and I know M loved being with her Grandma and Auntie Heather.

Halloween Party

Today we had a Halloween Party at The Little Gym. It was really nicely done and I know all the babies and kids had fun. Here are some pics of Madeleine all dressed up!

9 Months Old!

Madeleine is 9 months old today! Can you believe it? I hardly can. We had a rough start but every day just keeps getting better, and more fun! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, happy, smart, determined, curious, active and loving baby girl. Cam and I are so proud of her and love her so very much.

Pumpkin Patch

We took M to the Pumpkin Patch on John's Island today. I brought her Halloween costume and a couple outfits for a photo shoot but she wasn't very cooperative so these are the best shots from the day. She just wouldn't look at the camera or smile. She's still super cute though, as you can see!

I might try again this week because I really want a few fun photos with her in her costume!

We have our hands full

Little M isn't quite 9 months old yet and she is already a hand full. She cracks me up. We are so lucky to have such a curious, determined, fearless, smart, and happy baby... Even if it means I have to watch her every move!

Outlets are all covered but she still pulls out the night-lights.

Catching Up

I feel like I am always playing catch up with this blog but we have had a busy few weeks. M and I went to MD to visit Mommom and Poppop and I was in my best friend Gen's wedding on the 29th. It was a beautiful wedding and it was so special seeing one of my oldest friends get married. She was the prettiest bride ever! Congratulations Gen & Nick! Once we got back to CHS, M had an 8m weight check at the pediatrician. She is doing great, meeting all her milestones and now gaining plenty of weight. She is still on the small end of the scale but she is healthy and growing! He did, however, find a heart murmur. He didn't think it was anything serious because it's very faint but thought we should have it checked out at MUSC Children's Hospital. They did an ekg AND an echocardiogram, which envolved M laying down on a table for an hour while a technician took an ultrasound of her heart. Since M is the best baby ever, she didn't shed a single tear and was pretty cooperative. It's not easy keeping a very active 8m old still! Thankfully, everything is fine and it is just an innocent murmur. 

This past week has been a little calmer with our usual Babygarten, Mommy & Me Yoga, and The Little Gym. I have a bunch of photos I want to share but here are some from today. This is my sweet girl waking up from her nap... Such a happy girl!

 Notice the 2 bottom teeth! One has broken through on top and another is on the way. She has been just a little fussy but not too bad. Just look at this face!
